What to expect:

The SSI Instructor Training Course is the next step into becoming a true educator and leader in the professional diving world.
This course goes far beyond learning how to teach from a manual. Over two intensive weeks, you’ll be fully immersed in the instructor mindset, working closely with our team through workshops, simulations, and practical teaching exercises. You’ll practice confined water, open water, and classroom presentations in realistic scenarios designed to prepare you for real-world teaching.
Through hands-on training, role-playing, and mentorship, you’ll refine your demonstration quality, presentation skills, and problem-solving abilities. This focused experience will help you build confidence, structure your teaching approach, and develop your own professional instructor identity—ready for your first students after certification.

Level 1 - Supervised diver to 20m (PE20)
Level 1 is the first diving certification. This complete course gives you the skills and confidence needed to dive to 20 meters, anywhere in the world.
FFESSM Level 1 is very similar to SSI Open Water Diver. However, Level 1 does not require a final exam and includes fewer open-water exercises.
